After a year over being over horsed and making the difficult decision to sell i got new pony last weekend , she is amazing , my daughter and i are so happy with her, i have hacked out alone 3 times now and could of cried i was so happy , [ first horse would nap dangerously and i never got off the yard in a year] really looking forward to the future now, we have our first show on sunday , wish us luck , this is how horse ownership should be !!

Well done with the pony you put the exact words i was thinking as i read this "this is how ownership should be" You are right and it is exactly how ownership should be! Good luck for your show

Oh well done you, sounds like you have got yourselves a fabulous girl there who will hopefully give you years of pleasure and fun.

Good luck on Sunday, please let us know how you get on :)

Hi Maisemoo - when I read your post you could have been describing me. I have also had a difficult year with a horse who was really too much for me and sapped all my confidence. He is now sadly for sale which has been hard as we all really love him, but have had to make the right decsion for him as much as me. I wasn't going to rush into buying a new horse until I heard about a lovely cob gelding - he sounded just perfect and I have had him on trial for the last two weeks. He is smashing and my daughter and I have done so much with him to try him out as much as we can - lots of hacking, lessons, etc. Like you, I am starting to enjoy owning a horse. Have even checked out a local Trec competition at the weekend and think that we may go along to a local training event in a few weeks to see if we like it. Good luck for the show and for the future with your new horse.

Oh well done - that is a fantastic achievement after the difficult time you had with your previous horse.

When you find the right one, there are no limits to what you can do. :D

Good luck tomorrow, and please let us know how you get on.

Well done for taking such a big step. That's impressive after the difficult time you have had. Now you can really enjoy your pony and it sounds like you'll do very well.

Good luck with her x
