I finally took the bull by the horns.....
To cut a long story short... just over a year ago my and my partner split leaving me with an Arab stallion.
Having not had much to do with stallions other than the basics working on a stud was a lot to get to grips with. he had been raced and although is a fantastic ride it is difficult to find people to ride with on the basis that people dont like the responsibility of being out with a stallion but after much umming and aring this weekend I decided to take the next LEAP and loaded him up and take him to another yard to use the school.
he was so good bless him, we arrived and i had his saddle on so just had to get his bridle on, unloaded very calmly and stood for me to be legged up! Was a little on edge in the school which was to be expected as all the other horses were out including some very squiely mares. The only time he got upset was when mum went to turn the trailer round before we loaded him, think he thought we were going to leave him hee hee.
All in all a very successful outing! Hopefully wont be long until I have some pics of him out and about!
