I did it!!!!

Yesterday I took my 5 year old autumn hunting, it was my first time out ever and his (great combination) but we absolutely loved it!! He was a super star and really looked after me, everyone said how mannerly he was and we even popped a few fences (to me they were huge). I ache a little today but Ryu didn't have a mark on him and was casual about the whole thing. We'll definately be inergrating hunting into our training. Seems I bought a dressage horse and have ended up with a hunter ah well ....

Good for you&glad you enjoyed it! I did the same on Saturday - me&another livery went out with the Pentyrch on our youngsters, I've never hunted&she hasn't since she was a child. We all had a great time, even if Titan was like a rocking horse to begin with when he realised he had a flash, martingale and slightly stronger bit on than usual :shocked:- we went on a pleasure ride with the hunt before and I had steering problems due to him opening his mouth and sticking his head in the air! Once he'd accepted the new gadgets he was brilliant, jumped everything, made the Master laugh by taking off a good stride before the first, 2' jump :grin: and generally felt like he was loving it. He even started to see his stride properly towards the end and I'm hoping to have some good pics from it. I only broke him in the summer and am bringing him on over winter so we'll be incorporating hunting too - just one day did him a world of good.

See what you have all been missing I agree its great fun we had some lovely people come out with us Tuesday and they couldn't stop saying how nice we all were and we looked after them we started of slowly and then we got faster for them the hounds were brill open meet Sat since the ban we have got loads of subscribers I seem to think one's shot himself in the FOOT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! happy hunting.
