I have decided it is me and I am bloody jinxed or some thing... after the month I have had aswell grrrrrrr...

Anyway was in kitchen yesterday afternoon when this spinning howling whirlwind of a child burst through the door (mine obviously not some random child) When he stopped spinning long enough for me to focus realised he was covered from top to toe in blood...

He had come of his bike coming down the hill straight over the handle bars but in true Corton style he had done it properly!!! He basically has put his hands down to save himself and has broken both bones in his left arm and some bones in his right hand and his little finger on that hand... He has split the skin between all his fingers, removed nearly all his knuckles on both hands, broken his nose, scraped nearly all the skin of the midline of his face from his forehead to his chin, lossened his front teeth, ripped inside his mouth and has gravel rash everywhere.... his arms are just raw!!!

Poor little mite was so brave though I would have been awful but he gritted his teeth and let them cast his arm and strap his nose and hand... He is being operated on today bless his cottons...

Woah, I went over the handle bars once on a gravel track but didn't do anything as bad as that! He must of been going seriously fast, poor kid. *VIBES*

ooh i did that many years ago but not as bad as that too... i haven't forgotten it to this day. poor boy and poor you - it's one hell of a shock to see your child like that. hope he's ok today *VIBES*

Well at least it was at the end of the holidays and not the start!
I have one just like yours, so I sympathise totally!
Sounds like a very brave little soldier!

Jeez, sounds like he really has done a proper job of smashing himself up

poor little love. Hope the op goes well...i'm sure it's the last thing you need after the week you've had. Beth xx

Ouch! that sounds awful.I remember my little sister doing a trip over the handlebars and spearing the inside of her mouth on the brake lever. Gentle hugs to your lad and good luck with the op today.Hopefully it will all go smoothly and he will make a good recovery without too much scarring.

Poor little mite, he certainly knows how to do a proper job of it doesn't he!
I really hope his op goes well and he is feels better soon, must have hurt so so much.

Poor little chap sounds like he is a tough cookie though as he picked himself up and brought himself to you.
Fingers crossed for a swift and not too painful recovery for him and a turn in your fortunes for you!

ONGG, reading your post has made me feel quite ill

. Poor baby, he must be so sore. Send him bungy jumping, it may well be safer than pootling around on his bicycle

Big hugs from us

Your post actually made me fill up - what a horrid thing to happen

Sounds like he made a proper mess of himself

Hope the operation is quick and goes well - I'll be thinking of you all

Aww, bless him, he's going to be pretty sore for a while by the sounds of it.

My friend broke both wrists skiing and had to move back home as she couldn't manage toilet trips on her own. Not good!!
