Just read a post about an arena being locked 'cos poo wasn't picked up and I thought i'd add my own experiences - which makes no sense to me really!
Our arena has 2 gates - bottom via the yard, and top via the track. We 'contain' our gg's in a converted garage - as its rent free and they do live out 24/7. It is a small distance 'round the corner' from the actual yard and if I get permission to use the arena (only when no-one else is) the gate we use is via the track - so not interfering with the yard at all.
I haven't bothered with using the arena for nearly 2 weeks, for a variety of reasons, and when i ask to today Iam told I have to use the yard gate cos the track gate is locked! WHY?? If you can use a gate to get in, why bother locking the other one?! - I don't want to interfere with the yard - its none of my business as we are seperate tenants. I find iam intruding going through the yard when there is no need to, and so thats my little rant! Just don't understand it. It is as if they think iam going to use it without permission when ive always asked, so I feel for no reason iam not being trusted - and i guess that sucks for me!
On the plus side - I had huge fun jumping this morning, I am honoured to have such a lovely little horse who makes me smile ear to ear every time i ride her!!
