...but I love my puppy!
We went to a bbq this weekend and due to mummy and daddy deciding to have a social life Jack had to stay over with me. He was a saint!
I took his tether for when we were cooking and eating the bbq (I didn't want him begging for or getting much food) but I didn't really have to bother as he just mooched around and didn't bother people....which got him a share in a few sausages I stole from the boys (I feel mean giving him veggie stuff). There was a big bouncy pointer who rushed up to him but he just said hello and then carried on in search of what ever he was sniffing out. We he wasn't tied up he just mixed with everyone and even converted a couple of my none doggy loving friends with his big happy grin. He slept quietly in his bed next to me during my short naps (can't sleep away from home and when I've been drinking so was only sleeping for an hour or so at a time and was generally ace
We've been going on 5 mile walks whenever we can and he's loving it. Very happy mooching about and meeting other puppies. I'm so glad that his growling is purely reserved for the rude labs now. His hackles still go up sometimes but that's it.
He's also a mind reader it would seem. I didn't fancy a walk but picked up his lead anyway, which normally leads to running to the front door but tonight he just looked at me and went back to bed....so I did too
