Honestly, I don't. He's being a complete SH*T. I'm sick of him walking about on his hind legs and his flashing teeth and hooves (It's like blinking Kill Bill!) The sooner he's weaned and out getting his butt smacked into line by the other foals the better. I blame his mother!! She hasn't disciplined him AT all

Ok, I feel better now

LOL he'll just pick up new tricks of the trade from the rest of the foals, you never know he may rule the roost!

Good. i don't blame you for not liking him. He sounds evil personified. I think you should get someone to have him for you. Immediately. Evil like that should be shunned to england at once.

Strangely and by complete coincidence I know someone who is great with foals... [whistles innocently]

Shame to have to geld him as he's obviously quality, but a stallion has to have the temperment too, especially if he's going to compete and cover. And if they are quick with their teeth and naughty, its just not worth keeping them entire if you want them to do both jobs.

Yes, good point. I'm really REALLY hoping he'll settle down. Annoying as his current behaviour is, I do really think he means to play (mum won't cooperate) and I'm hoping that he'll chill once he's allowed to liberate all his energy.

I love the idea that putting him in with other foals will teach him discipline.
That's like leaving your child with a group of errant children, and hoping they won't get up to anything.
I threw my two (when weaned) in with their strict and bossy aunty...she scared the living daylights out of them then, and still does.

Maybe he will settle down a bit when hes has a bit more rough and tumble with others more his age - might appreciate the peace and quiet of being with his mum!!

On the other hand he could just be a little sh*t!!

LMAO!! I hadn't thought of it like that

Actually, it'll be good for him to have someone his own age to play and run around with (as his mum won't cooperate) I'll still be handling him on a daily basis

That's what I did with my first 2 foals. LC hasn't got a bossy aunty. Antifaz isn't bossy either! Hmmmm... I wonder where I can borrow a real tartar of a horse to put in with LC...
