Got to yard and there was no-one there.

V wierd and v dark indeed. (given this is normally a v busy yard!) Had to mix up feeds and go and see hungry (and cross) ponios in pitch black down dodgy track. Cue the fright of my life by horse dressed head to to in pink (or similar) who jumped out from behind a tree. Also seemed to be walking constantly through cobwebs. I only just resisted the urge to run from the place screaming... and yes, I am an adult!

I hate the dark too.... cant bear it.... he is all on his own so far as im concerned once the daylight has gone.

Only once did i venture down field at night.... it was snowing and nearly daylight at 11pm Got to field and was too scared to go back to yard..... had to run all the way!!!

And yes i am an adult too!!!

i know what you mean, i hate it, i have to walk up a long muddy track to get to my stables then i have to find the generator and try to get it started, really spooky.
 
I know what you mean. I remember walking back from the horses one winter and hearing some one cough right next to me on the other side of the hedge, I nearly died of fright! It was a bloody cow, they cough so human like.
 
when I kept my horses at my parents' house, I used to go out at about 10pm, give them a haynet and read them a story. One cloudy night I was absolutely convinced there was an alien spacecraft landing a couple of fields away - I was really scared and sprinted down the garden, got my family away from the fire and across the cows field to see the UFO and realised it was the local nightclub projecting their lights into the sky.

I am considering dyeing my hair brown, yes..................

i'm scared silly of the dark! and if i take pop an tambo down to these stables there is no electricity and its part of a spooky old rundown house where no one has lived for years. i'm gonna put torches everywhere
 
I was last at the yard tonight, and when I go up at 5.30am it's pitch dark and I'm the only one there. The yard is quite spread out and the house is a way away - scarey! Glad when I'm at the new yard, it's all very compact with the YO horse right in front of the stables.
 
Yup - my lot are right down the bottom. Almost got flattened by Arwen in her attempt to get to her dinner tho... I might not see her but at least I can hear her coming - she's not terribly light on her feet
