I am sooo annoyed.
New groom started last week, she works for us 3 days a week. Arrangement with YO was she started at 9 as she couldnt start any earlier, so YO would feed the horses before he went to work and she would turn them out.
I went to muck Gin out this morning as ive got the week off work, I turned her out and left the other 2 for the groom to sort out. I left at 9:30 and no sign of said groom.(never turned up on time yet) Were having auto waters put in at the mo so I said to the plumber Groom would be here soon to sort out the other horses.
At 11:00 I get a call from YO, who is working in Manchester, to ask if I can turn out his horses as groom hadnt turned up and wasnt answering her phone. I went down, changed rugs, put out hay and turned the horses out. I thought whilst I was there I would muck out just incase she didnt come. Got half way through 1st box when groom and friend turned up, strolled in, put kettle on then strolled into tack room and didnt say a word. I carried on, emptied my barrow then left. Friend watched me get into my car then gave me the dirtiest look.
I was fuming. The poor horses had been stood in all night, had dirty beds and no hay. I had no problem with sorting the horses out but next week my horse goes onto full livery. I will not except my horse being treated this way. I will speak to YO tonight but dont want to create bad feeling on the yard.
