Amazing how they all follow your lead so nicely. If I jumped on mine and tried that - the rest would just look up and say to themselves, "Oh good, she's going!" and carry on munching.

:D

Haha!

Duke, the big black cob I'm on, is just the leader of them really...he may be a lot of things but he was definately born to be a babysitter as he keeps them all in check and quiet and never lets any of the colts get too big for their boots! They all just accept him as 'leader' and have formed their own pecking order.....wherever he goes, they go. Plus he rounds them up of his own accord and calls them all to order which makes life easier!

haha same here, in fact they'd say 'oh good she's gone lets bugger off somewhere else!'

lovely pics :D

*sigh* Envious. Mind you, watch out that Ravenwood doesn't see this, she might need 4 of them to slow down her mare ;)

Thankyou! I can't help but have a bareback opportunity moment doing that each weekend lol...we have to move fields for a day when the shoot's on, but moving 20-30 colts can be somewhat time-consuming and knackering - seeing as the fields probably a mile long with all means of places for the cretins to hide in lol. The banks are great fun to go up and down, along with going under the motorway bridge joining the two different fields!!!

They're all the sale coblets we have each year...minus Dukey [aka, the black devil!] who is our ex-show cob gone nannycob lol :)

Lovely photos but why do you have 27 of them lol. That's a lot of horses. Doesn't look like your struggling for space though

I don't fancy your farrier bill ..........

But envy you those lovely Coblets - should I question your sanity having so many mouths to feed or is there a master plan?

Lovely pics :D

Noooo not rescues, they're all the sale cobs. They just live out over the winter and none are shod so only have trimmings to sort and none are ever there for a huge amount of time generally! No feed bills either as the grass never lacks where they are, we put haylage out in the feeders last winter but they never touched it once and still came out of winter fat!

I thought they were the ones rescued last year from a sale.
