I fell off in a spectacular manner today...

No serious injuries but I've pulled a muscle in my lower back from the impact. Horse managed to tangle himself in some loose, old branches that were lying on the edge of the bridlepath, much bucking and bouncing ensued, and within a split second I flew backwards, over his rump and landed with a splat on a stony path. Have a bruise coming on my left leg as well as i think I was under his back legs whilst he was still shaking off the branches. I normally have a good seat and can sit bucks etc. but it just all happened so quickly. Sympathy needed.

Thanks! It's the first time I've fallen off this horse - only the 3rd time off in 19 years, so not bad going.

My advice? Forget the chocolate, hot bath and arnica - drown your sorrows with alcohol works for me
