I fell off last night ..

My daft horse decided to buck me off last night, throwing in a spook as he did it! I'd forgotten how much falling off hurts! And to add insult to injury, he b*ggered off and left me there. Thankfully we were in the school so he just cantered off back to his stable!

I can't complain too much as I've had him over a year now and I'd managed to stay on up til last night.

I feel a bit sore today, I think I hit my head on the way down (i was wearing a hat) so I feel a bit headachy, I've managed to pull a hamstring, and my hip hurts where i landed on it. So I'm in the wars today.

Oh well, at least I've got the first fall over and done with!
 
Oh bugger! atleast you've got your first fall out the way!

What do you think caused it? Has he had a few days off?

i know that feeling! i got bronco bucked off last saturday (first time off in a while) and landed awkwardly, hurting my back, neck, shoulder and chest! it is a bit of a relief that the first one is out of the way though!

hope you feel a bit better soon and the aches go away! i found chocolate in big quantities helps

He hates being in the school on his own, and was a bit anxious when my friend took her horse out. He's ridden most days so I just think he just saw an opportunity to stop working and took it!

I got back on about 15 minutes later as we've come such a long way and I really didn't want to lose my confidence on him.
 
I fell off two days ago, something must be in the air at the moment. It was the first time i fell off my mare since getting her 2 yrs ago. We don't bounce like when we were younger. Did you get back on? I lunged my mare last night to let off some steam.
 
Oh poor you. You have my sympathy 'cos I am aching and sore all down my right side today after my new horse decided to slam on the anchors from a fast canter. I fell on a gravelly road. Ouch.

You did well to get back on, i rode my 4 yr old yesterday to make me feel a bit better. When i fell off my horse reared up and nearly fell over, then bucked. Felt like a rag doll.
 
arrr poor you hope u feel better soon i know how it feels fell of my new horse last snday landed on my face on the road oucccchhhhh still recovering but should be back in the saddle nect week hope all goes well
