unfortunately my story isn't quite so great as the previous one. I usually have the OH to give me leg up but today I was riding solo. Horsie starts faffing about and walking off while im trying to get on so I walk him round til hes ready to stand still. I usually ride quite short so its a bit of stretch to get on from the ground. Anyway foot in stirrup 1 2 3 and haul myself up, my foot must have caught his side and off he runs! Tried to pull myself up but failed as he started to turn so tried to step back, fell over my own leg and BANG on the floor

off horsie trots to find some grass! Felt fine all day and now gone all dizzy, worst falling off story ever, not even spectacular! Anyway all feel free to laugh at me now!

Poor you! It's the kind of thing that has happened to everyone at one time or another!!!

If you are feeling dizzy hours after the fall you should get a doctor to check you out just in case, especially if you remember hitting your head.

And yes, I battered my leg badly by falling off Little Cob before I'd even got on (he was about 13.1hh then). Ho hum.

thanks guy! Both my parents are doctors so have given me a pat on the back and told Ill be fine lol I didnt get knocked out, I was too busy getting the sand out of my gloves and top! Will make sure OH is on hand to wait on me until Im feeling better though!
