Bill and his brother Joe,
Went along to a horse show,
Where they took quite a shine,
To the fancy dressage equine,
Theyd stood there watching for a while,
When Bill and Joe exchanged a smile,
Their little sister wanted a sport,
So without a second thought,
Got in their old white van,
And went to find a horse for Fran!
They saw a horse tied by the road,
Leant out the window as he slowed,
Bill shouted to the man with a fag,
Oi! How much for the nag?
Waving them over with his hand,
The man replied about a grand
Ill give you £500 Joe said back,
Fine but you get no tack
The pair agreed- Joe led it away,
Coaxing it back with a slice of hay,
When they returned Fran was pleased,
The horse was over at the knees,
Had a pair of bad capped hocks,
But had a blaze and four white socks!
The next day they made a start,
His markings made him look the part,
All he needed was oats and beet,
As he was a bit slow on his feet,
So with a bridle made of string,
They set of for the dressage ring!
Fran entered in the novice round,
A judge said the horse wasnt sound,
So Fran was told to leave the place,
Bill marched right up red in the face,
Told them where to stick their show,
And that he was pleased to go,
The horsey world is not for me
Fran stated, the brothers agreed,
Declaring that it was biased and unfair,
Tied the horse back up and left it there.
i dont know what possessed me to write this it just came to me and next thing i know i'd written it! enjoy
