The gremlins are already rather hot, and my evaporative cooler needs to run a full tank or water/vinegar through, as it hasn't been used since last summer, and it's a bit musty smelling.
I decided that running it outdoors was a good idea, and that pointing it at the hot gremlins was an even better idea.
They absolutely agree!

I've actually had 2 brilliant ideas this week! This is the other one - £10 on Amazon, and it works an absolute charm on anything that you usually fill with a hose. I now have about 90% of my water buckets/troughs filling automatically, and I'll do the last one as soon as I've stopped the tap leaking from the top when it's turned on

I just know that if I did that, it would be used as a fun new toy at the first opportunity causing a flood.

Yeah - I'm not 100% convinced that I trust my lot, so I'm turning the taps off at night. The one on my big trough is a side inlet one, and pretty secure, as we drilled a 20mm hole in the trough, then fitted it with the inlet pipe through the hole and the hose attachments fitted on the outside. The gremlins one is a top inlet, and \i have drilled two small holes in their tank and cable tied it to the side. No damage so far, but that could just be because they are petrified of it. They keep going back to look at it, and have a quick slurp, so I'm confident that they'll get over themselves by the time they've emptied the 40l bucket a bit further along the fenceline!

What is this called please? Had a quick look on Amazon and couldn't find it. Could possibly save me a lot of agro!

I've taken it back now! Thankfully they have new hay balls to play with, so they've forgotten about the aircon!
