i had enough of trying to loan my mare already

so fed up now!!!! i have had her advertised fro about 2 weeks on horse hunter and a few days in local feed and tack shops. and i have had about 10 replies and each one said they would contact me to let me know when they were going to come and see her and so far only one has said they aren't coming due to a change in circumstances.

i have advertised her very honestly as obviously i want her to go to the best home possible, i have had it checked by several people who know her and they all agree it is honest and to the point. i don't understand these timewasters.

We have two out on loan and it did take a while to find the right people so be patient! I advertised them both on horsemart. Mind you this is 4yrs and 3yrs ago so perhaps people are thinking twice about a new horse to provide for right now.

And that's before you visit their property and see the broken fencing, wire and junk in the fields and realise you wouldn't loan them your dead goldfish let alone a horse!

I know exactly how you feel

We had the same problem with our pony timewaster after timewaster despite telling people she is a fast pony and not for a novice still had begginers who couldnt trot, people not turning up or trying to make us agree to there terms !! I give up now!!

I'm sorry but i don't understand why you are calling these people time wasters?

You've had people call to make enquiries about your horse - they probably decided that she wasn't suitable or found something else and haven't followed up with another call/visit - I don't think this is time wasting!

OK - if they've called several times and insisted upon several visits where they've hacked out one day, schooled the next etc etc - i could see that being wasted time... but if you can't spare a few minutes to speak to people who ring up about your horse then is there any point in loaning her out?

2 weeks is hardly any time at all to find the perfect loaner for your horse. I don't think a few phonecalls constitutes timewasting
