As the title says really! She was being her usual cuddly, cheeky self and so I through her bridle on, scrambled on bareback (something I try to do once every 1-2 weeks now) and walked her around and my control was really good so asked her for a few strides of trot! Got one stride but she wasn't too sure what I was asking for so mum ran along side and asked her to trot on and she did and then did it for me 3 more times perefectly without mum, trotting the full length of the yard and coming back to walk immediately when asked with my seat!!!

And all I can say is WOW!!! She has a seriously, seriously nice trot!! Nothing extravagant but it as smooth as silk, and sooo comfy!! I can't wait till June now when we start proper work with her, only 4 1/2 more months!!!

Aww, thankies! I can't really take the credit though - she is just a fabulous little mare with a temperment to die for, its all down to her - Ive just pointed her in the right direction!

Well done and you are braver than me with bareback.

Just started do a few short trots on Chancer over the past couple of weeks but with the saddle.

Have also started a tiny pole jump - you should have seen him go - think there is a mini TB inside that hairy cob - only another 2 years and I'll start doing in onboard.

My aim is to do little hacks this summer, start a little schooling December when he is 3 1/2 and start to show under the saddle next year as he will be four, do you have any plans for Tilly?
