I hate bank holidays! I want to sort stuff out!

I'm not allowed to watch TV (OH is revising) and so I thought I'd get on with my search for livery a bit. Have turned up several numbers but it is a stupid bank holiday!

When God gave out patience I really was at the back of the line. :o

Does anyone else find them frustrating? I find it really difficult to switch off so they are bad for my restlessness. I'm not happy unless I feel I'm doing something productive, and you can't on bank holidays :mad:
 
Yep, you & me both!
1st day I have clear for doing 'stuff' and I can't do it.
(and the stuff I could do, I dont want to do - like housework etc)

At least we have the TV on & BSB is on the box :)
Put your OH in the bedroom, settle down with remnants of easter egg & watch TV :)
 
Not found Bank Holidays get in the way of anything really?! Apart from going to actual bank, all is open as usual here including livery!

I was very productive all weekend, having well earned rest today though as back killing after lifting rubber mats yesterday and poo picking this morning.
 
The shops in town are open, but I'm not about to start calling random strangers on a bank holiday to ask about boarding my horses!

The feed shops aren't open so I can't go and look for notices about yards on their boards either. Silly bank holiday.

OH has at least let me put the telly on now. Phew!
 
I've given up and am watching telly too. And wailing about my current account. I've paid too much off my cc this month and left myself short of actual cash. Bum!
 
I hate it when I cant find anything to do especially when the weather is cra* and i cant ride :mad: and because of the bad weather i missed going to a show..
 
That's a shame, all our tack shops were all open this morning until 1pm (closed yesterday obv). I resisted shopping though! I'm dangerous when bored ;)

Mind you shame they don't shut ebay :o

I have the same problem with ebay! I am trying to be good atm as know I have some pretty hefty vets bills on the way, but it is calling out to me!! :D
 
Crikey I am enjoying the break! ridden both new baby and the grande dame, dog walking, chores, painting... Now on sofa enjoying being warm and so loved the not working on a monday vibe. All three staffies are cuddled up next to me and we are listening to the rain as well.... Bliss!!
 
+wish I had nothing to, two dissertations and revision for finals is killing me! I just want to sleep and play with the pony!
 
I felt id been very productive tidy, rode the coloured and the grey, been out farming with OH and put on my best "that's a shame" face when OH told me it was too wet to paint farm, unfortunately he found a Garden centre which was open to I am potting plants in the conservatory which is not water proof! Sometimes it is nice to not do things on days off!
 
I was planning to ride but its been raining most of the day. So went down this morning and did the horses and am currently watching The Wedding Singer with 2 sets of tack it bits being cleaned and oiled on the living room floor! I'm rubbish at doing it regularly and been meaning to give it a good clean for ages. Also now got a pile of numnahs to go in the wash. Deep joy!
 
yes i find it frustrating too - wanted to sort out savings etc but banks shut. horse feed shops are shut and too wet to ride. went for a swim and some lunch which was nice and garden centres are open. sofa is now beckoning.
