Having been lazy and reached in to the boys field with a shavings fork to grab out a feed bucket instead of having to walk to gate, in and back to end of field, the metal of the fork was on the fence and conducted through zapping me seemingly right in my heart!!
Haven't zapped myself in ages, forgot how horrible it is, plus s**t myself about it potentially damaging the unborn baby - luckily a little google and plenty of movement suggests the little bean is none the worse off, bet he was surprised though!!

Make me feel better, what's your worst electric fence mishap??

Not worst but funniest was when I introduced my mate to the ponios at my yard, she was leanin over and pulled back rubbing her tummy, then leaned over again. I asked if she was alright and realised she was leaning on the electric fencing, she just said she felt all tingly! To the YO who went to check the voltage! :D

Arabiangold - that's what I did!
Was stupid enough to attempt to squease through the two live wires so was my own fault :p finger/thumb tips feel really weird as well!

Got my self last week when I forgot it was on and grabbed the wire ... Ouch

Funniest and most stupid one was when I was walking the dogs and wanted to see if the cow fence was on,,,,, oh let's see what have I got to make it click, oh I know a nylon dog lead!!!!!!

It punched me in the chest and sent me back a couple of foot, ouchy

i was once on a yard with mains electric fencing and some pr*t managed to hook it up to the tap for the trough so it got me when i turned it on :(

I ended up on my backside at good 6 foot from it and couldn't feel my arm for ages!

I ended up with a ganglion (sp. ?) the last time I zapped myself on the hand.

It a small fluid filled lump that appeared between the bones on the back of my hand. It felt like a jelly sweet. Pressing it kept me amused for hours. The doctor said there was no point in getting it removed as it would go away on it's own, which it did after a few weeks.

It looked a bit like this one:

I liked it for it's 'ewww' factor!

EEK that looks sore.. About 10 years ago I had a filly that was very bright, we used to split the field with 3 lines of tape, anyway, Izz used to close her eyes and dive in-between the wires getting a zap on her tummy and back, she seemed to know it would hurt but she would be on the side of the fence with lots of grass afterwards!

I’m still traumatised as a kid from getting zapped that now just the mention of using the Van Der Graff at work gives me sweaty palms...... A Physics teacher who is scared a bit of static electricity.....:eek:

best ever was watching a male freind whilst drunk go for a pee & on 3 seperate occastions in the same night pee on the electric fence before screaming, apparently it takes 3 zapt the "that bit" to make them realize it hurts! Dumb but hysterical!!!!!
