Despite stretch hood, turnout with neck cover and turnout socks my neddie manages to get mud halfway up his quarters, caked on his belly and in his ears! Brushing it off is really irritating him so..... I wondered if pig oil would help prevent the very sticky mud causing such hassle? Of course if anyone has a better idea I would love to hear.

My horse also gets mud all down her face between her eyes.

That show shine/coat conditioner works a treat but for the really determined roller I'd think about getting a Dress Circle Sherpa rug with the belly flap. That seems to stop them getting their tummies caked in the stuff..

How do they manage to get mud inside their ears, between their ears and in the hollow above their eyes?? My mud lark of a TB comes in with his face covered every night!!
