I HATE MY YARD!!!!!!!! (long sorry)

She's annoying, because she'll come over and chat or just say hi. Next time you see her, say hi, and she'll grunt at you or blank you. If she is in a good mood you're ok, if she's not she can't even be polite!

Why is this all so familiar?

Ditto. Someone needs to build a giant nut house for all these psycho YOs.

I've been on yards like this and I ended up paying for full livery when I didn't need it for a long while, because that is what the best yard I found when I'd had enough offered. Its worth it and you can still spend lots of time with your horse. You can always keep your eye out for a decent DIY yard, but I know IME the nicer, safer, friendlier yards do seem to be part or full livery only, unless you're lucky and come across a little private yard with one or two DIYs.

I'd be looking for somewhere else anyway, but to be honest, I think lots of this sort of behaviour goes on at most yards, but it is only when you find out what is being said about you that you realise this!

As for involving the police for a slap on the arm (they'll laugh) and the law for slander - forget it. Many very wealthy people have tried to bring slander cases and ended up completely broke. The only people who benefit are the fatcat lawyers.

whereabouts are you?
your yard sounds dreadful, id be finding a new yard somewhere else and if it has to be on part till a space on diy comes available then so be it, surely its got to be better than what youre having to put up with?

How f*cking DARE she put her hands on you?!

That is totally unacceptable. You have my sympathies hun. I think you really need to consider moving ASAP

I purposefully left out the "assault" aspect in my reply, as I can see that getting you no where. Technically, she has committed an "assault" which can be verbal, or physical, though I doubt you would get very far reporting this.

However, I do think that this person should be taken to task over her attitude, but by the YO. That is why I suggested putting it in writing. Then when nothing is done about it, you can say "I wrote a letter explaining the situation, and I have a copy". If you are paying for goods and services, you have a contract with your YO, and they must take responsibility to ensure those conditions are met.

On the score of the wet bed, I agree with the others, move to another stable, and the other poster was correct, you don't pay for a swimming pool!!

Finally, I have been on one absolutely awful yard, where people had neither manners nor common sense, and certain cliques felt it was their right to treat others with little or no respect.

My advice in this situation....sit tight, explore and find another yard, ignore the bullies, and get out of there fast!!

Big ((hugs))) as it takes away the pleasure of owning horses when people are like this.

BTW I bought my own yard, now the only person I can bitch about is me!!!
