We currently have a pony for sale and the horse market seams dead at the mo. We have had two people look at pony, the first people came and tried him twice and he was very good but I decided they were not right for him.
The second people came out and really liked him and phoned back saying they would want him but would like to reduce the price and would only want him if they could have him on a trial, I had already said i would not put him on trial as you never know what could happen to them. Now haven't heard a thing. When i sold my mare a year ago i did let her go on trial but ended up having to pay someone to pick her up as they had done something while traveling and she wouldn't go back in the trailer, it cost me a small fortune to hire a lorry with experienced person to help load her.
I also find it really painful watching children ride our pony, especially when half of them don't have a clue. And they seem to be with you for hours.

I really love this pony and only want the best for him.

Rant over!!!!!!!

Anyone had any good experiences?

sold a little mare last year and get emails about twice a month saying how lovely she is and how well everything's going. They tried her twice, didn't give me any grief, had her vetted and we delivered the next day. It does happen...

I know what you mean! I sold a pony last year and although the third people brought him I found it all really stressful. The two other children who came to try him couldn't ride and I had a feeling they were just killing a hour on a Sunday afternoon. I had so many phone calls and most of them just didn't have a clue. I wish you luck as when you've got a lovely geniune pony you only want them to go to a kind loving home.
