I hate this new forum layout

I am loving the new forum, it is much easier to use although I am used to this format.
Guys give it a week or so, on the forum I am on now I thought I would never get used to the new format after it changed, but now I know it its fine and I am totally at home with it!!

i am not getting on with it too well, finding it slower, hate the fact it only displayes 10 threads per page, so if i want to look at all the posts since i last logged on i dont know how as they just keep changing darn order.
And yes i miss those little red numbers

Go on your User CP (top left) and under 'settings and options' on the left hand side click 'edit options'
From there you can change the number of posts you view per page - its under the heading 'Number of Posts to Show Per Page' near the bottom. I hope that helps

I dont like it how the new posts go to the top and then posts that dont get posted on just get pushed down . its very annoying.

I really dont like it either, im on and off here during the day and when I come back on to follow up on a post I cant find it, let me know if you find a user friendly forum this one is too much like hard work

I know exactly what you mean. I can't find what I want. I try to keep watching how a post I am interested in is added to but I can't find it. It's a bl@@dy nuisance!!!

ADMIN can you change it back please , i hate it twoo!! i dont like it, you cannot see any new threads that is about the only thing i dont like i miss the old one!! this is getting ridiculous!!

Its slow ,its not user friendly. The method of jumping from one forum to another is primative,and badley laid out. And when I select a setting,I dont expect the system to change it back if I look at another forum.I,m sure IT folk will tell you what a triumph of design it is,and advertising folk will talk about increased advert exposure(which is what this change is really all about).The only thing its not good for is what we the users really want it for.

The forum isn't slow. It is either your browser settings or your PC.
I don't understand the 'too much white space' problem people have either.

There are ways to track and subscribe to threads so they show in your CP - so you can keep track of all threads you're interested in across all the forums all in one place and never lose them. It just takes a bit of open mindedness and a willingness to explore.

Many people had the 'Newest post first' setting in the old forum and managed perfectly well. It IS annoying for you if it is not your chosen viewing style, but it is the default on vBulletin. If a thread wan't popular on the old forum it would have fallen off these peoples front pages anyway.

The old forum WASN'T fine. It struggled to stay upright sometimes with the amount of users and personally I hd some dredful times with gateway time outs and error messages.

If you had read the stickies that Admin posted in every forum detailing the changes you would know why your user names have reverted to your old HHO login names. You didn't ask for them to be changed.

It is sad that so many people feel they must leave because they don't like/can't cope with the changes, but Admin are not going to go back to the old style so it's sink or swim.

I hate it too. I now seem to spend an awful lot of time looking at very little. It's very slow and I am often left with a plain white screen. I have not used any forums other than this one, I used to love it but I can see myself giving up soon. Even the smilies are sh*te.

I find the layout ok but the whole system has got so horrendously SLOW!!!! One press of a key and it can take a minute or so before anything happens. The thing about new posts is right too - the old system was much better. And it's torture to get back to where you were if you post a reply on a thread! Used to be just press the back arrow. I'm surprised Admin didn't set up a User Group to destruction test the new system before it went live. If you want to spot weaknesses in a system, ask the people who use it all the time!
