Because of that stupid storm yesterday I have had to cancel my lesson today that I had been looking forward to for ages as the school is flooded and the parts that aren't flooded are very boggy :( and I can't even go for a hack as there is a massive tree lying across the only bridle way out of the farm! Grrr I have just had to admit defeat and turn him out. My horse on the other hand seems delighted that he has got out of doing work!

Me to, fields are a to wet to ride on, next doors school which i use is flooded and is no way i would head out onto the road my yard is on in this wind!!! so one happy horse shoved in the field to play lol!

The field is also pretty boggy, I almost lost my boot in the mud by the gate! Horse then proceeded to roll in said mud. It's going to be fun grooming him later!

It's currently alternating between sunny and grey and rainy :( and to top it all of it is freezing outside!

I just want it to be summer already :(

I'm giving up on the whole riding idea also! School flooded, don't like hacking in the wind so... Maybe tomorrow :-)

Glorious sunshine & blue skies here & very lucky I have access track to get out on - and can dodge the trees on the commons :)

Also not much mud to speak of...... runs for cover as will get battered by Polo....

You make me feel like crying :'( :'(

As there is obviously a shortage of mud where you are and being the kind generous person I am I am going to share my mud with you and send some up your way ;)

ughhhh the weather!! No school anyway fields too boggy, wind horrendous so can't go up over the moors. one horse is also a bit foot sore and the other is a big girl and won't go out in the wind he gets too scared! also tearing up my bloody fields it's like having grass on top of warm butter currently :( very grumpy haven't ridden since last week =[ rain is every 10 minutes here too. grr

sorry I will be running for cover too - sunshine and blue skies - lovely hack and a blast up the hill then horses turned out without rugs on as soo nice !!

I do have a pond in one field if that helps though !

Today is much better than yesterday!!!

Went to the yard yesterday and found half the school down by my horses stable where it had blown down!!!!!! (School is positioned higher up than the stables) however all the wind totally dried out the school and removed the lake (20 x20 m lake) of water from the bottom of the school!!!!

I Just sent 3 lorry loads up to your yard, I hope you enjoy it! ;) and Meesha I didn't want you to feel left out so I sent you some as well ;)

The only time I see mine in the light normally is at the weekends-I almost forget what he looks like sometimes!

Gaaahhhhhh!!!

Mud coloured usually? I've been able to spot TF - thats only because the mud got sluiced off the white bits by the copious rain on Sunday night :biggrin3:

Fields too wet to *ride* in? Think yourselves lucky! Our fields were like this, this morning...

This weather is totally stressing me out. This is the first winter with my new horse. Tried to get every thing 'winter proof' but feel like I'm failing. I too have a pond in the one paddock. So poor ****** only has a small piece of field which is now a complete bog!!!! I'm feeling so bad for him that I've even put out small haynets as there seems to be no grass left. Just to make it worse on the other side of the lane is his other paddock full of clover and I can't turn him out as he got so grumpy and lethargic when turned out over summer. OH has been waiting for ages for a few dry days to spray off clover !!!:-( take me to spring now!!!!!
