TIME WASTERS!! Have been trying to sell my beautifull little mare for months now (horrible market!!), and now i've dropped her price seriously low! Just had someone email me for an hour asking all sorts of questions and arranging a viewing, and then decided she was too expensive! Also recently had a lady ring up and ask me if she was good in heavy traffic and does she ahck alone, to which I answered shes good with cars, just not the A road by us (she gets abit tense) and this was stated in the advert, and then she gave me an hour and 2 min (I checked) discussion about general hacking (nothing to do with my horse), and then after an hour and 2 min decided that she wasnt suitable then and hung up! Grrrrrrrrr! Rant over! Anybody have any idea why I seem to get one of these people email me or phone me everyday? :P
 
Part and parcel of selling a horse.

I wouldn't call them time wasters though. People are entitled to ask questions and some may well decide the horse isn't suitable or too expensive depending on what they are looking for.

As for the lady who you allowed to chat for over an hour........ be more assertive ;)

The right person will come along eventually and hopefully that will be soon for you.
 
Better an hour on the phone and a swift decision the horse isnt right than you had to bring in, groom, tack up, ride for them, let them ride and so on.

Its a massive decision buying a horse.
 
Yes I am glad they dont come over to view her hehe! But I do get people constantly trying to persaude me to knock her down to peanuts and expecting a brilliant horse for peanuts! This is the problem with the market, everyone needs to be paying more for horses and selling them for more! Otherwise you end up with people who dont really have a clue about horses, buying a pony for their child etc because it wasnt expensive. I'd also worry about how they would afford to keep her properly if they cant afford to buy her in the first place.
