I have a fat Shetland , help

Hi I have a Shetland that is extremely obese (He's a fatty) .Unfortunitly he is not mine I only brush him and exercise him so I have no say in the feeds and stuff .Also I only go over on weekends and I really need to get weight off him .Any suggestions ???

Hi I would just keep on taking out for walks every day if you can-shetties do inhale feed so perhaps a kind word to owner that food is not needed and point to belly
