I have a new horse!!!!

Hi everyone, yep I have a new horse, he looks the spit of Benjamin, comes to the name of benjamin, was born on the same day as Benjamin... But the horse I rode today was nothing like my benny

Went out on a hack with my friend and her mare today, normally we take our youngsters together but she took her older mare so we could do the river and give the beast a lead... I've honestly never experienced Ben like this before. He has ridden out with mares but not this mare, she started to lead the first trot and he rounded, squeaked and cantered on the spot he was so het up! So I led the trot and he pounded out in front showing off! He never likes to ride alongside another horse but wouldn't be anywhere other than next to her and when we rode across the field he kept doing his squeaky thing so he could bounce over to her

He hates water but followed her straight into the river and stood there while she splashed around . We had a fab ride, and I'm pretty sure Ben is in love and thinks he's still a stallion bless him, he tried so hard to impress her

It was a really great ride sf, and I'm so very proud of him for going through the river... He simply hates water at the moment - so today was a breakthrough, but I've never seen this 'side' to him before, totally revved up, and cantering on the spot... I was constantly chuckling whilst trying to remain, calm stern mum to tell him that is not how one should behave on the road (or in civilised company) lol

Sounds great fun. That's the good thing about horses you never know how they will react and they can surprise us!

That sounds like fun, horses never cease to surprise you, we are just so happy when they are happy though.
