To anyone who's interested I have a lovely new horse!!! 15.1 1/2 dapply grey polish warmblood, 9 years old stable name Poppet and she truly is but I am calling her Poppy as I love those bright red positive flowers and in tribute to a friend whose positivity has truly inspired me, and it trips off the tongue more readily too!! We picked her up Saturday and already she is settled and no trouble at all. I had little ride in the school on Sunday and managed to dismount properly afterwards too (some of you might know I am recovering from a nasty fall and when I tried her wasn't able to dismount conventionally, had to put right leg over her neck and slide off back to front so to speak), and lunged her tonight. She is the confidence giver I need so badly and so far is proving to be just what I was looking for. I will post some pictures when I learn how to but in the meantime to all of you still on that endless search don't give up, and it seems true when you least expect it the one you want appears. I was fully resigned to having months of searching ahead of me again, as in the past, which is why I was somewhat ahead of my lack of fitness to ride schedule when she suddenly appeared and conveniently local enough to afford to pay my vet to go out and do the vetting, which was all fine and time to enjoy the sun too. So I hope you will all wish me well getting my confidence back and having some fun again which it is all about and best of luck to all of you still looking for 'the one' or suffering with confidence issue xx
