My boy,full tb,good doer lives out all year,rugged very well,lol,makes me feel better,lmao!!!I think i may need to clip him this year however......his belly gets the hairiest,obviously due to being exposed all the time,i do not want to spend £120 on an under rug with belly cover as money not a disposable commodity,

wish it was,spent years wasting money on any rug that took my fancy,married with kiddy now so that has to change,lol!!QUESTION... what clip do i give without taking his belly out?Come on guys lets get ya imaginations working without making him look a tw-t,lmao!!I would just be cruel to clip the whole of his belly off!!!
 
I can afford to take more off,he dosent really sweat along the neck but he has full neck rugs anyway so i can take some of that off,it is his girth area i have the prob with,but....how do you clip the girth area and not the belly without it lookin daft??lmao!!Do you think it would look ok finished behind the girth??Or is that the bib clip???Can probably do a variation with the neck included if it is,aint clipped im before(in 11yrs

If he has a turnout that is quite deep with cross over surcingles - do you think he will really suffer if his belly is clipped? I give two of mine chaser clips and they seem to be fine.
 
He wears the rambo plus with 3 surcingles,deep round his shoulders etc but the norm round the middle,lol!!Do yours live out??Mind when they live out they keep warmer from walking about,just feel guilty,am i worrying to much

Mine has a trace clip - just his belly and underside of his neck. He is an otherwise-hairy Section D. He is very happy with a regular turnout rug and on mild days, he is happier with no rug at all. I see no need to try to wrap up every bit of clipped horse - it's also easier to clean the mud off the clipped bits!

No, mine don't live out all winter, but they are still out at the moment. I only clip half a head though as I think they really would feel the cold if their ears were clipped out.
 
What if you started off with a bib clip. See how he copes with that. You can always clip more off. It's hard to stick it all back on again though.
