I have a shopping list:

- Black Plastic stirrups, not expensive ones, and not throughgood ones.

- White jods/breeches for shows that will fit a skinny waist.

- A nice cavesson bridle for shows, not too expensive, but must have a name to it.

I was looking at TDS saddlers website last night and they have some nice bridles (and a discount for online shopping).

Why must it have a name to it? Surely a quality bridle made by a saddler who doesn't put a specific 'tag' on can be equally as good as a well know name?

I didn't mean it like that as such.
Just that most 'named' makes use good quality leather etc

Would be perfectly willing to buy a nice quality bridle without specific name

Sabre bridles every time, lovely leather, last for donkey's years... some of mine are 1-15 years old and still show quality (used every day.)
i hear very good things about Mark Todd breeches/jodhs... personally, i love the RTS bentex ones - super-secure seat, lovely fit, very reasonable price for the quality.

I'll second the sabre bridles, I've got one for best and it cleans up well, and was only £60
