Naughty me. The little Shetland that was left with us looked like it could do with worming. Have not heard from owner. As it was left in our care, worming is part of care is it not? Feel a bit guilty. Hope it doesn't drop down dead

Will be pickling anything it passes to present to owner if he ever comes back

Still resisting showing it. I think that would be a bit too naughty

I'll have to get its tootsies done though, they do look in need of a trim now.

I think you were well within your rights to do this, you have the pony and your horses welfare to think about. You should be keeping a a nice long tab of expenditures for IF or when owner returns....

From your previous posts - don't think you had much choice. Pony has been left with you, with little to no info.

Just remember to keep a list/reciepts of everything you spend!

you have done the right thing if the horse is in your care you are resboniable to make sure its welfare is kept to the best of you knowledge .sode the owner it dont seem to me that she gives a dam any way!

I wouldn't worry, I'm sure you can only overdose a pony if it has it all in one go(don't quote me on that though). When we bought a horse from an auction the vet advised us to worm her straight away as it 'wouldn't harm her' even if she had recently been wormed.

I think I missed the story behind this little one, do you have a link so I can have a look?

I think you did the right thing S_F, just remember to record all expenses incurred - the 'owner' may come back, you never know!

i think you should parcel him up and send him to me for my little girl to ride..............tell the owner it went on holiday!!!!
