Eww cry!!!!!

I have mice in my shed at home! They are only living in my horsey shed and not in bfs dog junk shed!!

They have eaten everything with a value over £50 and nothing with a value under!

I HATE them!

I had them attack a bottle of some sort of gut balancer the vet had given me (not sure what it was called but was about £40), they had chewed all around the edge of a thick plastic lid to try and get in!

I also used to catch them in my feed, I have black bins for chaff/sugar beet but the feed in one of those plastic boxes with lids you get from DIY/Hombase places, there were tiny holes about thumb size in the lids that they used to squeeze through, though the food level was too low for them to get back out. I'm a big softy so ended up scooping them out and putting them outside!

In he end me and the other livery made a big effort to tidy and sweep and make sure all the feed/carrots etc was put in boxes they couldn't get into and we have seen a massive decrease. Before I used to hear them squeaking whenever I went into the tack room, haven't seen one since we cleared out.

Mice have eaten the girth straps on my beautiful english leather saddle. Had to take it to be repaired today. All holes into the tackroom have been blocked.

I have a ton of mouse poison they just seem to snack on it and not die ! I am going to lock my cats in the stables for the next two days !

Know what you mean..of all the leather boots in our tack room I had one little bar steward jump inside my expensive dressage boots & chew a big hole in the lining!

Please be carefull putting Pusses in with semi poisoned mice my ex with her birds and small pets always attracted mege amounts of mice the best poison is Sorexam blue paste that comes in a tube that you put in a skeleton gun like you use for silicon sealer the bait boxes need to be kept away from pets.

It is far more efficient than grain poison because mice dont drink enough to make it work. I have seen one mouse trying to pull another out of the bait box by its tail to get at it.

Well, I left a terrys chocolate orange on top of my rug box last sunday night and monday morning all that was left was the box and some chewed up foil. Little gits. I took a tin of celebrations up there at christmas and didn't put the lid on, and thought someone had eaten them all whilst doing their horses that night, but it seems upon reaching the bottom of the haystack the chewed up wrappers were all underneath a pallet, right in the back corner which hasn't been accessible since November.

At the new place we also have a wild rabbit that's not afraid of people (to the point where I have almost tripped over her on more than one occasion), and for the last week or more she's been hopping into the barn and gathering big bunches of hay in her mouth, presumably to make a nest. If I'm right in my suspicions, I have a horrible feeling I'll have a whole litter of the little blighters stealing my hay in a few weeks. That should make me angry but I think mum is kind of adorable.

I had a rat chew through the gearbox gaitor to get into my horsebox. i didnt realise until I had started the engine and shut the door. Bloody thing jumped out from under my seat and down the hole.
Got my OH to come and check around, he said dont worry it wont come out when you are driving if it is still inside. i was picking up one of the RDA horses so just had to go. Hlafway there it did come out. Poor daughter was hollering but it went down the chewed hole. The box had only had one day since we had used it. We cleared it out completely and put poison down but thankfully no more signs.
