Don became mine this afternoon, and I now have his passport with all his details DoB 15/06/2003, SF x ISH, 168 cm, chestnut gelding.

Had a proper ride around on him today - no divebombing pigeons!! and all went well.

*contented sigh*

Thanks everyone!

one good thing is, last time I owned a horse I didn't have much saved up, I stupidly saved enough for the horse and nothing else! So I know how to "make do and mend".

And I've just discovered my credit card has apparently been blocked (again) dammit!

I'll have to contact them tomorrow!

Congratulations......you do realise you will now happily spend a fortune in tack shops and analyse if you really need new tights and if the grey streaks actually look ok and can go another month before you need your roots doing!

Oh tip....bit like hiding the bags of new clothes from your husband....I get my local tack shop not to put new purchases in carrier bags and to cut all the labels off, then the item can innocently go into the car and he doesn't notice it or if he does I can glibly say oh that e-bay darling.
