My farrier is good as well, if he's held up he phones. If we've lost a shoe he's there next day to fix it. Punctual farriers are a rare breed whan you find one keep hold of them. I've had mine for 6 years now. Farriers who fail to turn up, do a bad job, use foul language etc are normally the ones that get posted about. It's time to sing the praises of the good ones.

We've finally managed to find a decent farrier, hurrah. My mare kept her last set on for 10 weeks despite the horrendous mud. And Bailey is doing great barefoot, they are hardening up lovely and he's not footsore at all!

My farrier is fantastic, i am so lucky to have him! He is always on time and does an amazing job. He spends a long time getting everything perfect and i cant tell you how much the horses hooves have improved since we started using him, i wish i had piccys. After my last farrier it is unbelievable! He was terrible, used to do a set in less than ten mins and keep you waiting hours or days or weeks!

Yes my farrier is fantastic too. He does a lovely job of my mares feet, always turns up when he says he will and has put a shoe back on the day it came off once. I had a lesson booked the next day which I thought I'd have to cancel so I was very grateful and got him a bottle of wine to say thanks - he never charges to stick a shoe back on either. The yard normally have a whip round at Christmas for him as we all know how lucky we are to have him.

Another one happy with their farrier! Mine has been late on 2 occassions in nearly 20 years, infact he is usually early! Does a grand job!
I took my old girl on an endurance ride a couple of years ago - on the farrier check the farrier said she was the best shod horse there! Course I told farrier and he has had a rather large head ever since!

My farrier is great too. He always comes out really quickly when Domi casts shoes (whichs is a lot - he has crap feet) and he shoes him really nicely. He is polite and kind to the horses, on time, and is very reasonable in his charges. Actually, I have liked all my farriers, never met a bad one!
