I would like to take my childs pony pony hunting. I've been hunting once when i was alot younger. Are adults allowed to take ponies? What would i need to ware? How fit would the pony need to be..not sure wheather the ponies ever been before....Sorry...any advice appreicated. :)

Of course an adult can take a pony, as long as he is up to carrying you. As a general rule during main season you would need a black jacket (preferably a thick woollen one rather than a show one), a thermal hunt shirt, white stock, cream or beige breeches, black long boots or chaps/boots plus a hat with a dark cover. However as it is your first time, it wouldn't be incorrect to wear ratcatcher, which is a tweed jacket with either a warm hunt shirt and coloured stock, or a shirt and tie, plus breeches and black boots or chaps/boots plus hat. You can generally pick up tweeds cheap in second hand saddlery departments or Ebay.

Can't really answer question about fitness as don't have a horse myself...
