i,m feeling left out!! , i have my lovely cob mare up for sale in horsemart and the only enquiries i,ve had have been from genuine buyers who know thier capabilities and know what they want , is it to do with price do you think? polly is up fo a reasonable amount certainly not cheap , is it only the cheaper ads that attract the nutters and the joy riders??

if you feel left out I could get a non horsey friend to ring (or my other half as he hasnt a clue) - something along the lines of ...... Hi, I have never ridden but would like a forward going, highly strung 4* eventer 17h + - I need that size as I am 4ft and would like to hack round the lanes - possibly even on the road sometimes !!

on a serious note - you are probably right as if yours is up for over a couple of thousand that will probably put off most of the muppets.

hope you find the right home x

believe me he really hasnt a clue ! although he is more like 6ft2 than 4ft! when he sees me schooling over 2ft 6 jumps he says "put it up he could step over that " strangely enough though he doesnt offer to try it himself !!!!!!!!!!

I think price does come into it, a horse I sold for £3500 not one stupid phone but a mare up for £1000 well I had not one suitable call. Everybody was trying to make the mare suitable for them because off the price.

Hi

I am looking and have looked at the ad, I think unless your horse is an absolute saint as close to perfect as could be and had was multi talented etc safe as houses 110% You are asking a lot for your horse.

If you were nearer I would come to look but I think its a lot unless it really is exceptional. She sounds very nice by the way and I can understand why you are probably asking such a lot sort of? Is it to make sure she goes to a really good home?? I am not sure why so much money. Is she safe as houses? But I would expect something that competes ie cross country/show jumping for the price. A real show type cob too.

I am looking for similar and my budget is tops £3k for a good hack. But I tried a horse out recently which was a loan and the owner told me she paid £3.5k and I think it was worth it.

I would say £3.5k if she is genuinely good as you say...sorry! & room for negotiation.

I am sick to death of looking at rubbish & are not at all as described. Did consider travelling miles and further afield but after what I have looked at locally am not prepared to travel either(I could put cost of fuel towards a bigger budget etc)

Sorry but she sounds very nice perhaps lower and incl saddle etc. Are you sure you want to sell her..she looks part of your family!

If she is that good hang on to her and ride her yourselves

Good luck

i think you,ve looked at the wrong add , polly is an absolute saint and has won hunter trial jump cross and show jumping so is priced acordingly and yes i would love to keep her but my son has discovered girls and is no longer interested in riding her

oh pm me too sorry just found a polly with a man holding her? eventing lack of speed(bit negative)

Probably too wordy but she sounds lovely/friendly girl. Not sure if you need to change your advert wording then if she is that good. Sorry seems a lot of money but I must be looking at wrong ad?

Where are you and what are you looking for?

Where are you and what are you looking for?

I am in Anglia probably looking for one built like Polly but doesnt need to do all the jumping nice if it can pop a pole or log. For hacking. Must be good in all traffic(i mean excellent) and farrier and able to hot shoe option as well. No youngsters(I dont have time for bringing a horse on) 8 yrs and above.

Polly does sound very nice horse but way off my budget. Have just retired my old boy so he is the companion pet pony.

Anyhow I must be the most regular unable to find person on the forum and have too much time writing nonsense due to lack of horse. I look at all the ads at least twice a day. BUT I have someone looking for me now as I am fed up looking at rubbish. Whats a shame is that I am genuinely able to offer a home for life for the right one. They end up part of the family.

If Polly is what she is then she should sell fine. By the way good luck with her.
