the land is so dry ! we need rain .. never thought i would ever say i will be pleased when it does ....
grass has almost gone .. and no hay supplies ... oh lord !

Yep, we desperately need rain (warwickshire), luckily two of ours are good doers but even then I'm giving the shire x some hifi lite to supplement him!

we do here in east yorkshire .. mine still on 2 feeds a day as they are not good doers .. i just hope that theres no flash floods for anyone

Have been doing a rain dance every day for over a month!! The fields are like concrete and seriously worried about the hay situation (Sussex)
Now the forecasters for our area are saying we will only get a shower!! Noooo, we need solid rain for days!!!

The ground is so dry here that it has started to crack! (Leicestershire) We are forecast storms for this weekend and I really hope they are right as there is no grass growing anywhere!

We've been doing the rain dance here too (north west - merseyside/ lancs area)... ground is absolutely horrendous, giant cracks appearing everywhere...as hard as concrete. We were forcast loads for tomorrow and friday, but just checked and theyve reduced it to 1.5 mm each day. Fingers crossed its slow drizzley type thats sinks in- not a flash in half an hour, just washes off...and where more falls like thats when you get floods. We need four or five days of solid days of grey overcast constant drizzle and light rain....please pretty please....

I would prefer it to rain on Sunday, I was hoping to go on a fun ride on Saturday! Who do I need to speak to to organise the weather?? :D

Same here in lincs. My paddocks usually look lovely with stripes on them! They now look like bare scrubland!
Hay fields haven't got much on them either. Hope it rains this weekend as we are fertilising fields tomorrow to give everything a boost. Fingers crossed.

We have been doing the rain dance too, West Yorkshire pennines are supposed to be wet. With the high winds at the weekend it was horrible, dust blowing everywhere! The ground is so hard and no grass is not growing at all!

We've had no rain in Leics for a long time, but saying that my field has been rested since January and I have 4 acres of lush grass coming out of my ears!

My two good doers are still having to be strip grazed..............someone come and bring their horses here so they can eat all mine down!

Ours are back in 24/7 again due to the hard ground/lack of grass :( They were in 3/4 days last week and will now be in till Sunday... If it has rained heavily by then I think they will be going out 24/7 for the summer, if it hasn't who knows what will happen :(

Well I'm knackered from doing the rain dance, no rain for 2 months and my field is pure sand, so it looks like desert and my 4 still getting 2 feeds a day, the 2 boys are coming in at night and my 2 mares are out on 9 acres, but not much grass on that either.:):):)

My TB is on his way to your lush grass from North Yorks!

We had rain here on Monday, all day and made no difference at all to the rock hard ground. My hay fields are growing like wildfire so that's good but can't move to my summer grazing as can't get my fence posts in the ground!!

Had rain over night but didnt seem to do much. It i raining now so hopefully it will make a difference but i dont think it is heavy enough. Just want softer ground and for the grass to grown, not to much to ask is it?

Fingers crossed, it's looking grey up here in Kent. I'm just going to leap in my car and fit in two quick rides in between work. If the weekend's going to be wet I can always catch up then!
My paddock is wasted, and there are big cracks in the ground, so I'm hoping for a couple of days of steady rain.

We are on the Northants/Leics border and are hoping for some rain soon. We've got plenty of grass but won't have a hay crop at this rate if we don't get some wet stuff soon

It's still bloody raining in central scotland. Very pleased to see it but would like to complain to the Management about it's timing. Common Ride on Sat, beach trip on Sun and couple days hol next week means I want dry weather until next weekend!

I was thinking if we could put an order in for rain every 3rd/4th day Kallibear? We get none for weeks and this is just taking the piss 2 days in a row lol
