Oh dear - happens to us all I guess...

I had a fair tumble with the SU a few years ago.... Horse cantered over me, and knocked me in the face, got fat lip and lots of blood... Re Mounted and jumped the offending fence again, and then one of the huntsmen said ' Looks like you need a swig of this ' Handed me his hip flask and I was fine.... Up until loading and driving lorry back, when it became aparent I was quite concussed and didn't remember the drive home.....

anyway - I earned my tumblers club badge....

If it makes you feel better I think I might be the only person to fall off out hunting going........at a walk!!! Pony slipped on a wet wooden bridge over a ditch and went down on her knees. I wasn't expecting it so shot over her head into the mud. It was decided as I'd already "dismounted" I might aswell do the gate and be useful. :smirk: Ho hum!

i started hunting hunting for the first time this season and thought i was doing really as had some hairy moments but no falls. then a few weeks ago just standing and talking i noticed pony had some burrs on his shoulder so thought id pull them off before going home. leaned down pulled at the burr and pony bucked me straight off! then the following having swapped onto my friends pony i came off again this time in front of most of the field and landed on my head and the ground was of course rock hard! :)
