I just picked a little wart like thing on horse

I just picked a little warty like thing on horses face - I know I shouldn't hav but was investigating it, it felt a little tough on the outer so I gave it a squees and a nip and the top part came off.
It was black and oozed black stuff - no blood at all.
It was about 3mm dia and has lefta little black circle on her face.
its only been there about a fortnight so been watching it closely - probably shouldn't have picked but just got carried away.
Could it be a burrowed beastie? Or any ideas?

Oh no was dreading the sarcoid word - rightly or wrongly. She is 7yo dark bay - will probably quiz vet re treating nect vaccs. Thanks.x

Unlikely to be beastie given length of time it was there. I thought my boy had a fly bite, was a small but growing sarcoid. It was treated and totally disappeared.

Keep a close eye on the area.

Mine gets em all the time on legs in summer. I thought they may be where a tick has been and dropped off! I have found ticks on him...

But yes the 's' word has been mentioned to me. I just shut my ears! He is a grey and 12...
