HORSE!! been looking for a little while now and cant find anything. something safe and sensible suitable for person who has lost confidence and desperately wants to get it back and ride and get out and do things! Small budget but could accomadate 'the' horse. Did have a larger budget but have been ripped off by a dealer last week big style!! :(

If anyone knows of anything-
14.2-15hh
must be good in traffic
hack alone/company
good in open spaces
pops a jump
would hunt

age sex looks totally unimportant just want a friend to love and have fun with having been ripped off twice now!

I know of a nice 15hh welsh section D mare, rising 7yr old, bay, good as gold, can be a little marish in stable though but nothing too bad. belongs to a friend. pm me for contact details. unsure if she has advertised her yet. x

sorry just re read my thread supposed to be 14.2 - 16hh but willing to look at 16.2 if she was the right one. Im sick of being ripped off and ive tried alot of horses recently but people dont seem to understand ive lost my confidence and i dont want a project!

what is she like?

If you dont mind me asking why are you selling the one on your previous post as he sounds like what you are asking for now, or is he the one you bought that was too hyper for you.

I think you should have a long think and not be in a rush to buy another you say you have been ripped off twice now if you bought from the dealer you posted about you were well warned so i am not surprised.

If i am correct you have not been riding that long and after two disaters with dealers i would be very realistic about what you are looking for, as you say you now have a smaller budget it may be worth saving a bit more and getting a safe first horse as it sounds like this is what you need.

Please do not rush this descision as i am sure you dont want to make a wrong purchase again and by the time you buy and sell several wrong purchases it will cost you as much in the long run.

I am from your end of the country slightly further up but if you are going to go to any more dealers or even a private buyer do pm me as there is a good chance i may know them or know someone who does.

Also do you have anyone who can go with you to look at potential horses.

No didnt buy from the dealer I posted about I stayed well clear of that one. Billy was lovely but he wasnt what I thought he was or what he was sold to me as. Still really quite green and too much for me. He suited a more competitive rider.

I went to try a horse from an apparently well respected dealer in the newcastle area and loved it. Went back tried it again and again and it was great really quite ugly but lovely character. It was more than I had anticipated to pay however I felt it was my horse in a million. Paid a deposit which was considerable and arranged to pick up that weekend booked into a livery place had to pay a month up front so did. Rang said person as arranged that friday and couldnt get an answer tried tried and tried again eventually got hold of a relative on the number who said the horse had been sold elsewhere and my deposit was being kept as I hadnt turned up to get the horse. They had sold it after I had just left that day having paid my deposit.

Its all very well saying wait save up and pay more but Im sick of sitting and not riding or having anything to do with the beasts. I dont think im asking for much just a nice safe horse to have fun on and love. My old horse has gone to a fabulous home with a girl that wants to hunt up front all day perfect for him.

And no I have no one to go with me however I am not totally ignorant having been breaking horses to drive since a young age. Although it would be better if I did have someone. I know.

I was not implying you are completley ignorant but from looking at your previous posts it sounds like you have confidence issues, you have overhorsed yourself once and been ripped off for money as well, so what i am trying to say is ...

When you are dead keen to get back in the saddle and excited about having a new horse this can cloud your judgement, it is also often how people get ripped off. I have a horse coming up for sale soon hes quiet but i know he would be no good for someone with confidence issues, however if i wanted to portray him as suitable i could and give you a viewing so you would think he would be right for you.

You do have to keep your eyes wide open and know what to ask.
I do hope you are pursuing your deposit from second dealer did you get a written reciept for the money you paid.

Do pm me about any you are going to view just in case we know of them in the area and your budget and if i hear of anything i will let you know.

pursuing money however he has given me a different name etc and he has some really quite frightening friends. I have spoken to the police about it though so fingers crossed all will be sorted out. I did have confidence issues with him as I didnt trust him but im not a total novice a little bit of excitement and a little buck here and there arent an issue.

I will let you know of anything I consider going to see. thankyou
