so could we have healing vibes for her please. In hospital with a broken ankle (in two places) and got to have an operation to fix it. Was trying to mount one of her horses when the crate she was using as a mounting block slipped and she fell. Got rushed to A and E last night

Oh bless her - yowch! Isn't it annoying how those silly little accidents can cause so much trouble - I mean, a crate slipping sounds so minor, but it's always that kind of thing that causes the most trouble, isn't it! I hope she feels better soon.

I'M BACK!!!! Lol

Fed up already and 5 weeks of immobility to go!!! :p

Thank you all for your well wishes and yes am sick to the back teeth of hospitals lol.

Came home late Friday night, should have been Thursday but stupid foot had swollen up so much on Wednesday that my cast had to be cut open. Still to swollen this morning when I went back to the fracture clinic so I've got another one that just goes around the back, back next week to see if they can do a full one.

OH's little'un said I HAVE to have a pink cast to match her padded hat, then got all excited because I was in the same hospital, have been in a wheelchair, have had physio and medicine like she did :D bless her. She started back at school 2wks ago, only 2hrs a day but it's a start :D

Thanks again :D

Yep too long, I'm not a keeping still kind of person and now I'm only allowed up to go to the loo or to go to bed. Word of advice, don't use a milk crate as a mountain block - painful!!! Lmao!!! Clearly I've not done enough through WeightWatchers or I wouldn't have fallen through the crate :p

Definitely did it properly, the ankle bone and my lower fibula have broken - hence the pins and plates. Was a little freaky to see my foot bent over to the right when it's not supposed to lol

Glad to hear you're home:) My sister broke a bone in her foot - also falling off a box, although not trying to get on a horse at the time! I got her some Symphytum homeopathic tablets and when she went back to the docs, he was amazed at how quickly it had healed. The old name for it was Boneknit apparently, so it could be worth a try:):) Anyway hope you can find something to keep yourself occupied for the next few weeks, thank goodness for the internet:)

Thanks I'll look into that!

Yes thank goodness for the internet, I shall need you lot to help me keep sane!!

Am actually really ticked off, I'd just started finding time to ride again, just started zumba and was due to start basic agility with the puppy dogs at the end of the month, now I can't do diddly squat lol.

Not totally sure how it happened - can remember my foot going through as I pushed off and can remember being half on and trying to shake the crate off but the next thing I knew I'm landing on my backside with my feet in the air thinking ***** that's broken lol :p
