We had a little visitor up the yard today - a little lizard sunbathing on a log. It's been about 6 degrees here with a chilly breeze. I can't believe a lizard is out and about but I guess with the harsh winter we've had they need all the sun they can get!

Here's the little fellow -

I also thought I would take this opportunity to give you laugh and introduce you HHOs to our house and part time yard cat Toby.. I think the picture says it all -

What a handsome chappy Toby is :)

I saw a lizard by the side of Ladybower reservoir on 1st March, he was having a lovely time sunning himself!

Your house/part yard cat really looks very comfortable in "his" bed.

But I don't think that it is fair that cats can sleep like that, and then wake up without having any problems. Had I tried to sleep with my neck bent as close as I can come to mimic that (which probably isn't anywhere near close, at all), I doubt I would be able to get out of bed the next morning! Even a more simple, awkward sleeping position can make me feel more like this , yet, when pets sleeps in awkward sleeping positions, they look like it is actually comfortable?!

For example, I doubt I would be able to sleep with my head hanging out over the edge of my bed, yet, on these wallpapers from the internet it doesn't look that uncomfortable...

love your description of 'part time yard cat'! I have a ginger and white one the same, he was suposed to be an outside feral cat, but seems to live in and can often be found on either a bed or arm chair!

He has redeemed himself a bit today, started catching the spring rabitts who are eating my gardem plants.
