So yeah,

Only 2 to 3 horses to clip maximum of 3 times a year. Not too noisy either

Oh, and price max of £180
Thankyou all so much, you have no idea how helpful this will be

not sure how useful this will be as i only have one horse to clip about 3 times a year but my husband bought me the Lister Liberty clippers they are cordless and have a battery pack that lasts for 3 hours so plenty for a full clip. they clip lovely too and very easy to tension and clean etc.

you can also buy a attachment for mains supply if you wanted to use them all day or you can have a extra battery pack at the ready. i would say that they'd do 2 clips on one battery life anyway. but you never want to get half way thro and not be able to finish

hope thats helped a little bit

I've got Wahl moser avalon clippers, battery powered. cost me £150. I just used them today for trimming beards and remembered how pleased I am with them. I bought them after Christmas, so I only did 2 clips with them (hairy NF ponies) with no problems at all.
