it really is so expensive!

Looking at Day tickets or half yearly membership for the Fat Man.

From what I gather I would have to get a rider ticket and a horse ticket = £27

and if the Sheenster rode him, a owner/horse ticket and a rider ticket = £43

then entry of £45-55 ish AND a starting fee of £10 (i mean come on, just make the entry £10 more for goodness sake!)

Which comes to about: £92 per event for me and £108 for the Sheenster. **Jaw hits floor**

Would be lovely for Sheenster or myself to do some BE events on him later on in the year, but not sure I can justify the DT fees and the entry (realise that entry is good value, seeing as is 3 phases etc)

I for some reason thought DT were only £11?!

How do you afford it!

Rant over

Have to say the horror stories of Addington, last WE, are putting me off BSJA

Addington (and Towerlands) are the exception rather than the rule

Most of my local BSJA shows have around 20/25 in a class

Like KatB says, pay the membership and then choose to bury my head in the sand regarding the costs. Dread to think what I will spend this year with two to go, will not add it up as far too scary.

Always a bonus when events take online entries and I can put them on OH's credit card!

Very soon H&H will do their show issues and have free BE, BD and BSJA tickets in them.

BE is expensive, I did a couple of intros last year and it worked out at about £85/event.

You could do open PN and new for this year is open Intro so no need to go HC.

Still think BE membership far better value than the underwear! At least the BE membership will be used

Only found 4 open intros in the whole calender so far though
