Get me, I jumped an unaffiliated open sj class for the local RC team yesterday on injured friend's lovely horsey. Said friend was injured at the last minute and couldn't ride, hence last minute decision for me to take over. So I was super sub - never sat on the horse before ever!!!

Went clear (albeit with a lot of help from him ), but 8 faults in 2nd round, but not bothered. Loved it, loved it, LOVED it - not competed for ages due to old horse's injury and baby horse not quite ready yet. Reminded me how much fun it can be, and also reminded me that I can actually ride!!!! Ha!

Missed my planned Bank Holiday drinkies cos got home so late, but really chuffed and still buzzing!!!

I love competing too - me the person who had never been to shows when I had my pony as a child so at 32 I'm seeing what I missed!

I was also buzzing yesterday too. My horse was off sick so my little cob had to stand in and we jokingly told people his show name was "last minute substitution" although I liked "lastminute.cob" but was overuled! To say he had not done any dressage we came 2nd and 3rd in w&t B test and prelim 18 and my YO, who was the judge, came to me tonight to say how pleasing the test was and how she thinks once he's better schooled he'll do a fab test so I'm
