I posted on here earlier this week about confidence issues

here - http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=520657

and had a lesson with my excellent instructor tonight :)

Was walking round nicely, asked for trot and the horse in the field near the paddock started trotting too. Charlie spooked, bucked and bolted on me. My instructor told me to just keep him going and to 'give him a taste of his own medicine' so we did! Flew around the arena at least ten times. Boy was he sorry he took off! (I secretly enjoyed this because I'd not had a gallop for at least a month....)

The wild beastie started working really well after this! The reverse physiology obviously worked well and did wonders for my confidence!

Then we just worked on forwardness, stretching and getting him more into my hand, my legs felt like jelly when I got off... nice relaxing hack tomorrow I think! :D

Sorry, just very pleased with him and for me for being brave and just kicking on!

She's amazing :) and thankfully the live on yard owner too, so she's always there in an emergency. Can't thank her enough for checking Charlie at all hours of the night when he was colicly.

And yep, we can hope, fingers crossed!
