Took the nutcase Autumn hunting on Saturday, expecting explosions & general silliness - but, you never know until you try...

Anyway, I did get *some* silliness and a couple of rears, but, I also had brakes, manners, AND a horse that stood still & switched off in between runs. Aside from the fact that he practically attached himself to his mate who we traveled with, oh and that he refused to walk & just bounced everywhere (piaffe is NOT a good pace for the hunting field....) he was actually a very good boy. So I was

yesterday.

It wasn't a very fast day, so this morning I decided to take him out to BSJA at Sykehouse. He's never been there before so I was expecting serious spooking but he jumped BN clear & then had just one down in the open. I don't care about the 4 faults because he felt amazing jumping - really pinging off the ground, and his canter was spot on - and I have been working on that for ages. So again, I am

I did take some - but its quite hard when you are bouncing constantly. looking through them now they are quite blurry will see if I can post a few

The BGL was also a good boy

!! Had a couple of little moments while hacking there - was a new route - but once we were there and he thought he had an audience (he is such a diva he thinks everyone is there to watch him

!!!) he was as good as gold
