I've just read an earlier post asking why people want to own cobs and the bad things about them and i completely disagree so lets see how many people love their cobs

Bruce isnt my cob but i love him all the same i borrow him from a friend every so often but then taz being an ID could be classed as a cob, i have the most fun on bruce more than i do on taz as he's small and a highland :D

what do you love about your cob?, i love his choppy paces, he's so energetic and loves his work, has an amazing jump and he is so cute and cheeky :D

i love that my cob is loyal, hardworking, talented, loving and safe and will gove anything a go:D she is one in a million:)tbh, she really needs someone more expierenced than me, as she is certainly not a ploddy kickalong:D

I have the best Irish cob in the world. She is a 16hh ID cob x TB/connemara who has carried me safely out hunting regularly with a very good pack (no falls) since she was 4 and is now 20 and still 100% sound. She has incredible athletic action, is sharp and fast and jumps 5 bar gates, 4-5 foot hedges, ditches rails etc etc. I owe her SO much and anyone who disses cobs doesn't know nuffink ;-p

I must admit I hated cobs till we had Little Lils in to sell! For the first two weeks she was so scared we couldnt catch her, to touch her she would kick you and barged everything including three stable doors.

However, I adore her now, so much so she is still here 10 months later (and I forgive her for bucking me off, not once but twice the same day on concrete and busting my knee that I still cant ride even now). She believes she is a TB, wont go out when it rains, refuses to walk through mud, but I adore her, she really should be sold, and have written many adverts for her, as she is now 100% always, but I really dont think the right home will ever come up for her.

My warmblood 16.3 and a few inches is far safer than she is. She looks very out of place in a yard full of pink papered and blood horses, but ............

A picture of the girl.

I have a welsh section D.Love him to bits.Used to ride a small common (Oh he was) little coloured cob who was such FUN.I would have bought him if I could. We have loads of warmbloods on our yard.Yard owner breeds them.Mostly they are owned by nervous novices who are terrified of them.

My boy is the kindest, gentlest, cheekiest and zippiest cob. He follows me round like a pup, and we adore each other ! I've had TB's and ridden WB's, and it comes down to this - a hairy gentle cob every time... :D :D:D

I have 1 of each and love them both for their own reasons :) Nothing beats riding the tubby one out on a hack before work - great start to the day! (Cant seem to post pics or would have added one!) :(

My boy puts up with way too much s**t. But I love him coz he loves cuddles and when laying down and he sees me he actually rolls on his side so I can scratch his tummy (hes a bit like a overgrown dog :D). He always comes over to say hi and does so many cheeky things. My poo pick found its way into his stable yesterday I wonder how ? And he earns his keep (harrows) drives the family to the pub and I can ride him.
