I love my horse a little less today :(

After post previously about how much I love and adore my darling horse India, she went and dumped me today!!!

First day back on her since the bad weather and (entirely my fault) she bronched and I did a very stylish flying dismount!! She is feeling very well and I should have lunged her for a few days first as we are also in a new yard/ new school etc (plus she is only 4!)

What an idiot I am, feeling very deflated and annoyed with myself for rushing it!

All I read is everyones lovely tails of great first rides (after bad weather) so here is a differing version

I still love her though !!

If you are going to dismount, like you said, do it style! Dont be too hard on yourself, sounds like she was just as excited as you!

Oh, don't be hard on yourself. We all make a mistake, once in a while, and if we learn from them that can only be a good thing. Am sure you will be more cautious next time so put this one behind you.

Totally agree, plenty of 'fresh' horses out there. Don't be hard on yourself though.

Agree with the others, don't be too hard on yourself. Tis never nice coming off but at least there's no injuries and you can go again. We all live and learn, live and learn, live and learn......

Hey what you just wrote mirrors me the last two days! Have just moved my 6yo to a yard with lovely indoor school, got on him yesterday after not being able to ride for 2 wks, and was just like yours....

Luckily i managed to hang on lol! Worked him till he dripped today, cheeky bugger!
