...just had to share this. My boy is on box rest, with gentle walking in hand. Although he is containing himself, the boredom is getting to him and he has been a handful on a couple of occasions (two of us have had to lead him sometimes).
Anyway, yesterday I had some ghastly stomach bug and arrived on the yard in the morning feeling pretty green. The worst case scenario unfolded and, while I was walking him, I had to throw up. So there I was, horse in tow, being sick behind the barns (thinking how glamorous my hobby is).
My boy actually nuzzled my neck! I think this is the equine equivalent of holding my hair back. Bless him, then he stood like a rock and once I'd sorted myself out, walked really slowly with me back to his stable. He's been a gem ever since - must realise that mum is a bit of a wreck at the moment.
Don't you just love them???
